Deep Personality vs Open Psychometrics
They host a free IPIP-BFFM Big Five. We run IPIP-50, then attachment, then an optional two-completer comparison.
Open Psychometrics is a research-oriented site. Their well-known Big Five path is the IPIP-BFFM — the International Personality Item Pool representation of Goldberg’s Big-Five Factor Markers. It is free, uses public-domain IPIP items, and does not require an account. You typically leave with an individual trait dump: five factor scores, then you are done.
Deep Personality is a different job. The public path is a free quiz first (ten IPIP items — a teaser, not attachment), then the full IPIP-50 on the Big Five test page (ten items per trait, five domain scores), then attachment style as an overlay on those scores. If two people finish, the personality test for couples path is a side-by-side comparison — not a compatibility type.
This is not a quality dunk. Both products use IPIP items. The form differs: IPIP-BFFM there, IPIP-50 here. The extras differ too.

We do not run IPIP-NEO-120 or IPIP-300. We do not independently score six NEO-style facets. We do not publish an accuracy percentage against Open Psychometrics, and we do not have a house study that “beats” IPIP-BFFM.
The claim is narrower: same item-pool family, different form, different extras.

The quiz is ten IPIP items, two per trait. It is a teaser. The IPIP-50 is the Big Five test. Attachment is later in the same full assessment.
The unique-data hook
Open Psychometrics is typically an individual Big Five dump. That is a fair product.
What we add on top of IPIP-50 is the extra data: an attachment overlay, then a two-completer comparison if someone else finishes. Anxious attachment next to high neuroticism is not the same week as anxious attachment next to low extraversion. A five-factor dump alone cannot show that, and it cannot put two real profiles side by side.
None of that makes IPIP-BFFM fake. It makes it a different instrument with a different job.
