Deep Personality vs Truity
Truity also measures the Big Five. The difference is what sits next to it.
Truity is a serious personality-testing site. They offer Big Five alongside other frameworks (type-style products, Enneagram, career tools, and more). If you want a menu of tests, that is a real advantage.
Deep Personality is narrower on purpose. The full path is IPIP-50 for the Big Five, then attachment style, then an optional comparison after two people finish. We do not sell a separate Enneagram, DISC, or type-finder product. The query-matching URL for “Truity alternative” is /truity-alternative.
This is not a quality dunk. It is a product comparison.
What both of us do
Both can give you a Big Five-shaped read. Trait psychology is not a secret. Continuous scores on Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism are the shared language.
If you already like Truity’s Big Five report, you are not “doing it wrong.”
What is different here
The inventory. Our full Big Five measure is the IPIP-50: fifty public-domain items, ten per domain, reported as domain scores and percentiles. We do not independently score six NEO-style facets. The free quiz is ten IPIP items — a teaser, not the complete inventory. Details are on the IPIP page. We are not ipip.ori.org.
Attachment in the same full assessment. Truity can offer attachment as its own product. Here, attachment is scored only in the full assessment, after the Big Five — not in the 10-question quiz.
A comparison, not a compatibility type. If you and another person both finish, you can see the two profiles side by side. That is not a “you two are a match” label.
Who should stay on Truity
- You want several frameworks in one account (type, Enneagram, career, teams)
- You want a short, focused Big Five and nothing else
- You need workplace or multi-test tooling we do not offer
Who should try this
- You want IPIP-50 domain scores plus attachment in one path
- You want a partner or friend comparison after both people complete
- You are fine starting with a short quiz, then deciding whether to continue

No invented score gap. No “we are more accurate by X%.” Different products, overlapping trait model, different extras.

Attachment style in the full assessment, and an optional side-by-side comparison after two people finish. The free quiz does not score attachment.
We do not publish an accuracy percentage against Truity. Both can score Big Five-style traits. Choose based on whether you want IPIP-50 plus attachment and comparison, or a broader menu of frameworks.
