What both of us do
Both can give you a Big Five-shaped read. Trait psychology is not a secret. Continuous scores on Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism are the shared language.
If you already like Truity’s Big Five report, you are not doing it wrong. A catalog Big Five and an IPIP-50 domain profile both describe the same five traits. The overlap is the model, not the rest of the product.

What is different here
The inventory. Our full Big Five measure is the IPIP-50: fifty public-domain Goldberg items, ten per domain, reported as domain scores and percentiles. We do not run IPIP-NEO-120 or IPIP-300. We do not run NEO-PI. We are not ipip.ori.org. The item-pool story is on the IPIP page. The scored path is the Big Five test page.
The free quiz is a teaser. It is ten IPIP items, two per trait. It is a first read. It is not the IPIP-50. It does not score attachment. It does not assign a type.
Attachment overlay. Truity can offer attachment as its own product. Here, attachment is not a separate menu item and not a result of the 10-question quiz. It is scored in the full assessment, after the IPIP-50: anxiety and avoidance next to the five trait scores, then a style label from that pair. Anxious attachment next to high neuroticism is not the same week as anxious attachment next to low extraversion. A type-only product never puts those two scores on one path.
Partner comparison. If you and another person both finish, the two profiles sit side by side — domain next to domain, attachment next to attachment. That is the partner comparison. It is not a “you two are a match” label and not a compatibility percentage. The couples framing of the same job is the personality test for couples.

Is Truity or the Big Five more accurate?
We will not answer that with a number. We do not have a comparison study against Truity, and we do not publish an accuracy percentage. Truity’s Big Five is a real Big Five-shaped test. The IPIP-50 is a real public-domain inventory. Ranking one above the other by a made-up margin would be a marketing sentence, not a measurement.
Search results for most accurate personality test can still lead with Truity. A search ranking is not a validity coefficient. What “accurate” can honestly mean — a score that stays in the same neighborhood on a retest, and a scale that measures the trait on the label — is on most accurate personality test. The longer note is what accurate can mean.
