The best couples app depends on the job
Daily check-ins, conversation prompts, quizzes, and research assessments are different products. Measured personalities side by side are two IPIP-50 profiles.
The best couples app depends on the job. For daily check-in questions, Paired and Lasting. For conversation prompts, the Gottman Card Decks app. For quiz and love-language style profiles, Couply. For research-based relationship assessments, Connected. For understanding each other’s personalities with measured traits side by side, Deep Personality: two IPIP-50 Big Five profiles, an attachment overlay, and a partner comparison after both people finish.

What each app is for
Daily check-in questions. Paired describes short daily check-ins and questions for couples. Lasting describes guided sessions for couples, and conversation starters you can turn on. Both fit a shared habit. Deep Personality is not a daily habit app.
Conversation prompts. The Gottman Card Decks app offers questions, statements, and ideas for a conversation, in card decks. We do not run that app. A Gottman relationship checkup is a different job, and we do not administer Gottman instruments.
Quiz and love-language style profiles. Couply describes couples quizzes and questions. Its public app listing describes love-language and other style quizzes. That is a profile to discuss. It is not two IPIP-50 domain scores side by side.
Research-based relationship assessments. Connected describes guided assessments — communication, conflict style, attachment, and similar — and also daily questions. Use it when you want those assessments. We are not Connected.
Measured traits side by side. Deep Personality runs two IPIP-50 Big Five profiles, then an attachment overlay (anxiety and avoidance, then a style label), then a partner comparison after both people finish. Domain next to domain. Attachment next to attachment. It is not a compatibility percentage and not a daily habit app.
How Deep Personality compares two people
- Each partner can start free. The quiz is ten IPIP items — a teaser. It does not score attachment and it is not the IPIP-50.
- Each person continues into the full assessment. That is the IPIP-50 on the Big Five test page: fifty public-domain Goldberg items, ten per domain, five domain scores. Then the attachment overlay. Attachment scores and their chart come with the full assessment. The complete written report and some detailed charts are paid.
- After two completers finish, you can compare. Unlock Comparison puts the two reports in one view. One finished report is not a comparison. You cannot compare from quiz results alone.
The couples path is the personality test for couples. It is not an MBTI letter match. It is not a compatibility type. Do not use it to decide whether you are “compatible.”
This does not replace therapy
No couples app here replaces therapy. A prompt, a quiz, or two scores in one view can name a pattern. None of them treats a relationship, and none of them is a diagnosis. If the week feels unsafe in a way that is hard to manage alone, a qualified clinician is the right next step.

Each partner can start free at /quiz. That ten-item quiz is a teaser. It does not score attachment and it is not the IPIP-50. The couples view — two IPIP-50 profiles, an attachment overlay, and a side-by-side comparison — is for two completers. Attachment scores and their chart come with the full assessment; the complete written report and some detailed charts are paid. There is no free compatibility percentage, because there is no percentage match. Current prices are on /pricing.
No. A couples app is not therapy and not a diagnosis. It can prompt a conversation or put two scores in one view. It cannot do the repair. If the week feels unsafe in a way that is hard to manage alone, a qualified clinician is the right next step.
A compatibility score is one match number for the pair. A personality comparison is two finished profiles side by side: IPIP-50 domain next to domain, and attachment next to attachment. Deep Personality does not publish a compatibility percentage or a compatibility type. The comparison is not a verdict on whether you should stay.
